1.Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Medispace UK Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2045 at the latest, with interim alignment to the NHS England 2030 Net Zero Supplier Roadmap and SBTi-aligned practices.

 

2.Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline Year: 2024 (Data capture in progress)

Reason for Selection: 2024 is the most recent full year of operations, which allows accurate tracking of Scope 1–3 emissions prior to CRP implementation.

Baseline data collection and external certification is scheduled for completion by December 2025, supported by Kevin Stephens Consulting.

 

3.Current Emissions Reporting

As of July 2025, full emissions reporting is in development. Verified Scope 1–3 emissions will be disclosed following completion of the baseline certification process.

 

4.Emissions Reduction Targets

Medispace has adopted the following provisional targets pending certification: - 40% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 (from 2024 baseline) - 30% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030 - Net Zero by 2045

 

5.Carbon Reduction Initiatives

Medispace has launched a phased Net Zero delivery programme (July 2025–December 2026), which includes: 

• Development of a full Net Zero strategy and roadmap 
• Verified emissions baseline and public dashboards for each diagnostic unit 
• Carbon clauses embedded in supplier contracts (from Q1 2026) - Carbon literacy training for 100% of staff by December 2026 
• Fleet review and feasibility for EV rollout 
• Solar-ready units and smart metering pilots 
• Adoption of accredited carbon accounting software (e.g. Sweep/Greenly)

 

6.Governance and Monitoring

Project governance is led by: - Internal Lead: Christopher Tickle, UK Operations Director

- External Consultant: Kevin Stephens, Sustainability Consultant

Monthly reporting: Sustainability dashboards and data capture tools

Quarterly reviews: Strategy delivery and emissions tracking

Annual reporting: Public Net Zero progress report

 

7.Declaration and Sign-off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors at Medispace UK Ltd. It will be updated annually.
